Halmar Friesen Racing Bolsters Ranks With New Additions
As a part of the preparations for the 2024 season, the Halmar Friesen Racing team has strategically handpicked three vital additions to its No. 52 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro team. Veteran NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series participant Jimmy Villeneuve steps into the team’s Crew Chief role while Dustin Dunn fills in as the Race Engineer. Corporate Communications at HFR gets a boost with Tim Packman coming on board.
Bringing two decades’ experience that includes tenures at Kyle Busch Motorsports, Wood Brothers Racing, and Kevin Harvick, Inc., Villeneuve is high-spirited about his new innings. “I am looking forward to working with Stewart Friesen,” Villeneuve said. “My goal is to work with the incredible team he currently has and return HFR and Stewart back to a championship-contending team.”
Dustin Dunn, the new Race Engineer, complements Villeneuve with a Mechanical Engineering degree and a deep-rooted carport career. The 30-year motorsports veteran Tim Packman, hailing from Akron, NY, enters as HFR Commercial and Communications Director, carrying an impressive resume that includes NASCAR.com, Dale Earnhardt, Inc., and Richard Childress Racing.
Friesen is equally enthusiastic, “Bringing on these three industry veterans will help us achieve the goals we have set for the past few years”. Here’s to even more success on the horizon!
Owner Chris Larsen acknowledges the steps taken for improvement, “I‘m very proud of this HFR team and what they did in 2023…I can’t wait for Daytona.”
