Paint Miserhaps: NASCAR’s “Oops!” Moment

Restart Zone at Phoenix to be Repainted by NASCAR

An unexpected turn of events on the raceway this week – a misplaced paint job reported at Phoenix. The restart zone wasn’t correctly positioned and was accidentally painted in the wrong location before this weekend. Despite the hiccup, the Truck Series race on Friday night proceeded as planned with the faulty configuration.

However, rectifications are set to roll. According to NASCAR reporter Bob Pockrass, the restart zone will be repainted overnight in preparation for the Xfinity race on Saturday and the season finale Cup Series race on Sunday. “The zone was inadvertently painted in the wrong spot before the weekend. They talked to the truck teams before the race today and opted to keep it,” Pockrass tweeted this concern on November 4, 2023. For the full story, Click Here
