Germán Quiroga’s Quest for Dominance at Autódromo Monterrey

As the NASCAR Mexico Series 2023 progresses, teams and drivers are setting their sights on the upcoming race at Autódromo Monterrey. Among them, the Mexican team, Car Motion Motorsport, is determined to maintain its top-tier status, with Germán Quiroga steering the ship.

Germán, piloting the stock car 69 with a slew of notable sponsors, has been a standout in the series. Currently holding second place in the drivers’ championship with 232 points, he reflects on the team’s recent achievements, “We’ve consistently worked to ensure our cars are both good and competitive. Our second-place finish in Puebla, where we maintained a top-four position throughout, is a testament to our dedication.”

With the Monterrey race on the horizon, Quiroga is well aware of the challenges posed by the region’s soaring temperatures. “Staying hydrated will be crucial, especially towards the race’s end,” he emphasizes. The Car Motion mechanics have been diligently tweaking his car to ensure the heat doesn’t compromise its performance.

Quiroga’s confidence is palpable, “Despite the gasoline challenges that arise with high temperatures, we’re prepared. Our aim is to secure a spot within the top three, keeping our championship title aspirations alive.”

Joining Quiroga on the track is Omar Jurado, driving car #54. Representing the team owned by Argentine Javier “Che” Fernández, Jurado is determined to climb the ranks from his current twentieth position in the championship.

The Trucks México Series will also feature notable competitors. Valeria Aranda, driving truck #27, is vying for a podium finish, while Gerardo Rodríguez, with truck #13, is set to make an impact, currently holding ninth place in the championship.

Race enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The seventh date of the NASCAR Mexico Series is slated for next Saturday, 5:30 p.m., promising 120 laps or 100 minutes of intense action on the mile-long track, affectionately known as “El Frijol.”
