Trucks México Series 2023: The Intense Race to the Playoffs

The thrill of the race, the roar of the engines, and the anticipation of victory – welcome to the world of the Trucks México Series 2023. As a seasoned traveler with a deep love for international motorsports, I’ve been closely following this series, and the excitement is palpable as the season draws to a close.

Returning to the iconic Ovalo Aguascalientes México on September 10, the Trucks México Series is gearing up for an intense battle for the coveted Playoff spots. The recent race in San Luis Potosí set the stage for what promises to be a nail-biting continuation of the series.

Nico Rivas, with his #24 truck, is currently leading the pack after a stellar victory during the 5th round. Holding 345 units, he’s the frontrunner in the Playoff zone, but hot on his heels is David Reyes with 340 points aboard truck #3. The competition is fierce with Rodrigo Maggio (326 pts. #67) and Diego Ortíz (323 pts. #19) rounding off the top contenders with just three races left before the decisive cut.

But let’s not forget the rising star, Mateo Girón. As the leader of the rookies with his #5 truck, Girón has amassed an impressive 300 units. He’s on the hunt, aiming for those crucial positions that could see him vying for the championship title.

The anticipation is building as practice and qualification are slated for this Saturday. Fans are eagerly awaiting the 9th race of the 2023 season, scheduled for a sharp 11:20 AM start on Sunday. This 90-lap race promises to be a spectacle, with a “stage” planned at lap 40.

Race enthusiasts can expect a grid filled with approximately 20 trucks. Among the racers, the hydro-warm Andrea Lozano with her #11 truck and Valeria Aranda with the #27 stand out, symbolizing the growing feminine power and competitiveness on the track.

So, mark your calendars for September 10, as the Trucks México Series presented by BOHN- Mikel’s- Moncar- TUM Logística- Hoteles Misión makes its second visit to the Óvalo Aguascalientes México in 2023. The race to the Playoffs is on, and the stakes have never been higher!
