Esteemed NASCAR crew chief Jason Ratcliff embarks on his 800th start this Saturday at Martinsville Speedway with an end in sight. Ratcliff announced, during an interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, that he’ll be hanging up his crew chief hat following next week’s Xfinity Series Race at Phoenix Raceway. “Phoenix is going to be it; this is going to be my last season as crew chief,” says Ratcliff. With a track record highlighting 15 Cup Series victories and holding the highest win record (57) in Xfinity Series as a crew chief, Ratcliff will dearly be missed by the racing community.
