From CARS to NASCAR: Carson Kvapil Revs Up for the Big Leagues

Hey there, race fans! Short Track Girl here, and do I have some news that’ll make your engines purr! Carson Kvapil, a name you might recognize if you’ve been following the CARS Late Model Stock Car Tour, is about to make a splash in the NASCAR world. That’s right, this young dynamo is set to make his NASCAR national debut on September 14th, piloting the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado. And guess who’s got the sponsorship honors? None other than HendrickCars.com!

If you’re wondering why the name Kvapil sounds familiar, it’s because racing talent runs deep in this family. Carson is the son of Travis Kvapil, the 2003 NASCAR Truck Series champion. Travis has an impressive resume, starting nearly 500 races across all three national divisions. So, it’s safe to say that Carson has some big shoes to fill, but from what we’ve seen, he’s more than up for the challenge.

Carson is not taking this opportunity lightly. He’s been putting in the hours on the simulator, working closely with Spire Motorsports crew chief Kevin “Bono” Manion and Andrew Overstreet to prepare for the big day. This kind of dedication has propelled him to the top of the championship standings in the CARS Late Model Stock Car Tour and earned him a spot in Chevrolet’s driver development program.

Spire Motorsports has had a noteworthy year, including a win at North Wilkesboro with Kyle Larson. They’ve also had a diverse lineup of drivers this season, including Corey LaJoie, Marco Andretti, Austin Hill, and more. Kevin “Bono” Manion expressed excitement about working with Carson, stating that seeing what the younger talents can bring to the table has been fun.

So, please mark your calendars for September 14th because Carson Kvapil is ready to show the NASCAR world what he’s made of. And who knows, we might just be witnessing the rise of the next big name in racing!
