Eddie D’Hondt To Depart Chase Elliott’s Spotter Role in 2024

After 12 Years, D’Hondt Decides Enough of Spotting Chase Elliott.

Eddie D’Hondt, renowned spotter for Chase Elliott at Hendrick Motorsports, has declared that come 2024, he will no longer play the same role. After participating in 468 races across 12 seasons, encompassing 26 wins and a championship, D’Hondt’s journey with Hendrick Motorsports and Chase Elliott comes to a close.

He gracefully expressed his gratitude in his Tweet, “Been a helluva run.. 12yrs, 26 wins, 2020 Champs🏆. Thank you to Mr. Hendrick @JeffGordonWeb @chaseelliott. A career to many, a wonderful lifetime memory for us all. Excited for what‘s next.”

Which team and driver D’Hondt will work with next, however, remains unsaid. Regardless, his contribution to the team’s victories over the years remains cemented in NASCAR history.
