Busch Trades Steering for Steering Deals: Sells Championship Truck Team!

Busch’s Business Boogaloo: From Track to Trade

Two-time series champ Kyle Busch, known for his rather assertive approach on the racetrack (okay, sometimes borderline aggressive), made an equally bold move this week, but this time off the tarmac. What did our man do? He’s sold his coveted Kyle Busch Motorsports team to Spire Motorsports. Wait, what? Yup, you read it right!

“I obviously had a super bittersweet moment,” Busch said, spilling some beans at Talladega about the sale. For the uninitiated, this isn’t just some backyard garage team we’re talking about. This is the two-time championship-winning Kyle Busch Motorsports we’re dissecting! It’s like Gordon Ramsay selling his spatula… Well, sort of.

Now, before you picture Busch in a suit, sitting in an expensive office overseeing sales charts instead of speed charts, remember he’s still getting behind the wheel. Busch will zoom around for the organization in 20234 (a slight futuristic slip, but it’s NASCAR. Anything’s possible!)

Of course, in the racing world, Kyle Busch and “last place” aren’t words you usually hear in the same sentence. But that’s where he sits among the 12 Playoff drivers as we head into the YellaWood 500. What’s a champ to do? Double down! While some might opt for an extra energy drink, Busch gets busy brokering business deals.

Reflecting on the year, Busch commented, “It’s been more sought out just to race these races and run normal… Whatever happens, happens.” A laid-back approach? Well, only if you’re in Busch’s race boots, where there’s always another lap, another race, or another big deal around the bend.
