A Wild Ride: Sportsman Drivers Take a Detour into the Woods at Mobile International Speedway

Hey all, On Monday, Mobile International Speedway dropped a bombshell, announcing that Jonathan Langham, the older brother of Maddox Langham, is benched for the rest of the 2023 season. Talk about a penalty stroke! He’s not just out of the driver’s seat but also banned from attending any racing or practice events, even as a spectator, until 2024. This comes after Jonathan’s impressive second-place finish in Saturday’s Sportsman feature.

Jonathan, being the sportsman that he is, took to Facebook to accept the suspension. He’s urging everyone to keep cheering for the home track he loves so much. He’s owning up to his actions in the pits after the event, showing some real character. He’s got nothing but love for the track, its management, and its staff, and he promises to come back swinging in 2024.

But let’s not forget about Maddox Langham and Mader. Even though their race ended prematurely, Maddox didn’t let that stop him. He returned stronger, winning the feature in the Truck division at Mobile, finishing ahead of the 24-time track champion Okie Mason. Now that’s what I call a comeback!

And of course, we can’t forget B.J. Leytham, who took home the trophy in the Sportsman feature.
